EVERY DEMOCRAT IS PRO-LIFE!!!!
that is why so many of us object to our policy in Iraq it makes no sense. it is hard to prove their are any republicans that are pro-life, there are many who are anti-abortion and choose to claim a pro-life title.
being in support of a woman's right to choose an abortion when necessary is not being pro-abortion everyone wishes and hopes for a better alternative. i can safely say that no woman has woke up this morning and said to herself "i think i will get pregnant today so i can kill my baby"

I won't fit your limitation on the question. It is real real easy to search James Dobson, who hated McCain, and was not behind him. Funny.. as soon as Palin was picked, Dobson endorsed McCain. There is your answer, to my mind. I'd say that it is correct that the intent was to pick up those conservatives who want to overturn Roe-Wade.. AND yes, there are those who are only voting on that issue. I will NOT get into any disputes about if abortion is right or wrong. I AM afraid if people have the intent to overrule or overturn a long standing decision. THAT IS DANGEROUS, because it undermines the framework of the nation, and makes all laws subject to possible extremist views. Just for trivia.. go back to Robert Bork, and his rejection for the Court and how Arthur Culvahouse was involved. Culvahouse is the same lawyer who "vetted" Palin (I use the word loosely). Too many other things at stake in the nation. Most of which are being ignored, by the hysteria generated by McCain and gang.

Is there a pro-life Democrat?
Yes...anyone who promises to get us out of this damned Iraq war.
Is there a pro-life republican?
Or just someone who uses this issue as a campaign ploy, getting the gullible to vote for them, and then doing nothing about ending abortion after elected?

I think that Joe Biden is pro-life b/c he is extremely Catholic, but that he has said that he won't push his pro-life views on the American people. Biden was the only Dem to vote for banning partial-birth abortions.

I don't know of one.
I am sorry for the person who is disgusted by people's right to vote on one issue. It is an important issue. When we start killing our young, we have become less than human.
What is your hot button? Bush, or the war, or the economy, or corruption, illegal immigration, or maybe taxes?
Everyone has one, and everyone votes accordingly. Usually these things fall into one category or the other, but not always, and if there is one issue that transcends all others in your mind, then you have every right to vote based on that issue.

You mean pro-cell?
Because lets face facts- that's what we're talikng about. The mentality that you can kill a doctor to save a cell and call yourself "pro-life."
How about this? My wife and I will decide how many members our family will have. Cool with you "small gov't" types?

Fascists who offer religion as an excuse to force others to live under their faith based ideals, do not belong in any party in America, maybe Iran, but not America.

It sickens me that people vote based on isolated, hot-button issues like this.
