We fall in love with our Great Expectations, dear....
We simply have a box of ornaments for christmas decoration, and we need to place them somewhere for the feast of our soul.
We find an illusional consignee of our needs, decorate them with those glittering ornaments, but sooner or later, we realize that the christmas tree was only trank, bearing the jewels of our souls....
Then what? The fireplace....

I always fell in love with what I thought was the person they really were, to find out later that they weren't who I thought they were. I have always loved people lock, stock & barrel, no matter what baggage they came with...there was never any reason to put up a false front with me other than to get the obvious.

Definitely the person he/she really is. I never expected to fall in love the way I have. If I chose based on my expectations I could have believed I had fallen in love years earlier. I don't know how I could improve her.

well I have only been in serious love once, and he kept alot of things hidden from me at the beginning, so I think I was in love with his personna. As I learned of the things, I was so blinded by obsession that I didnt care. I know now, that they were things I would not have tolerated.
yeah, I was young and stupid.

I fall in love with a woman for who she is. But unfortunately, I get women that fall in love with me but try to change me. Some change is good. But not when they try to mold you into somebody completely different.

i will love the person he is (whoever he is)
you cannot love a person based on your expectations alone. people can fail you too, circumstances will test you, relationships can turn sour sometimes but with unconditional love it makes you want to hang on and hold on tighter
