Mine was big. In a church. MY side of the family sat on one side, my wife's side of the family sat on the other side.
We had two receptions. The first was for my wife's family, then the second was for my family.
NEITHER side would socialize with each other. Why? Her side was spanish. My side was White/English. To this day, 36 years later, neither side socialize with each other. BOTH sides look at her, and me, as a mistake.
Nothing but love.

FInd an adult that you trust that you can talk to. You have to deal with the pregnancy...this is the bigger issue. Chances are, he asked you to marry him because you are pregnant. Tell him you aren't marrying him until you are ready to marry him and maybe that means having a very long engagement or maybe it means calling off the engagement. Although it is honorable and old school to ask a girl to marry you when you get her pregnant...this is 2010 and the divorce rates are high. DO NOT GET MARRIED AT 16, 17 or 18...heck don't get married until you KNOW for sure he is the one. If you are planning to keep this baby make sure you have a VERY good support system including him, your family, his family and friends. Who care what the people at school think...you now have to worry about the baby not yourself. Welcome to being a mother. Make sure you look into all options of keeping the baby, adoption and abortion and weigh your options carefully. But, most importantly...talk to your family and get some adult adice from someone you trust. Good luck honey!!

Had a fairly decent sized wedding .. and that short disaster of a marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath) was just a WASTE. IF I ever got married once again ... then I would want small, intimate gathering of close family (mainly) and keep it simple. (The interesting thing is I AM Dating at this time, and it is getting somewhat serious).

I had a big lavish wedding as my husband is the only son and he got married fairly late.. 43! My ideal wedding is a small ceremony with close friends and relatives, follow by sweet, romantic honeymoon far far away!

small and simple....outdoors if possible, in a beautiful place.
I'm divorced, had the wedding in Reno, just two friends. the marriage lasted about 5 years...we had lived together longer than that before we married...

We had a wedding that we paid for ourselves because her father was an @zzhole. All her relatives attended except him. We are one of the divorce statistics of 51 % that get divorced. Good luck with your wishes-you'll need it !

We had a really small wedding. It was just perfect. No fuss, and little money spent.
