Here in America, it is Veterans' Day.

Today we honor those of our forefathers, and their neighbors, brothers, and kin who died as soldiers that we might live in freedom.

What would you die for?

***
Those who follow the "jihad as war on others" belief have already answered this question. They're willing to die to force you to join their religion and follow their laws and their leaders. They're willing to die so that females in your society must be less than men. They're willing to die so that the freely chosen government of Israel will be abolished and all its Jewish citizens slaughtered because they are Jews. They are willing to die so that anyone who renounces their religion shall be murdered.

All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

What are you willing to do?

I would die for my son, my mother, any child. I would die rather than watch antoher person die by violence. Does this mean that I would not sit and watch the triumph of evil? I'd like to think so, but there is so much evil that is insidious, goes undetected and good men do nothing.

"And when good men do nothing, nothing gets done" I served two tours in Vietnam, 64-67. Then retired after 30 years in law enforcement. When we were in firefights we were not thinking for a second about the "freedoms" we were defending at home. We fought to keep each other alive. It is easy for some to say they will die for a cause until they actually hear the whiz of a bullet go pass their head. Until you have actually been in combat, you don't know how you will react. I guess it's the thought that counts here.

I would be willing to die to keep American life as it was before the patriot act. The terrorists can;t beat Us, they do not have the resources to even come close, but they can scare us into beating ourselves by giving up our freedoms. that is their only hope.

the only thing that I would die for is my ULTIMATELY BEST friend and my family. Maybe my pets. Other than that, I would rather live.
