I've always used hot packs on mine. Except for if it's swollen, then I use a cold pack. Did you hurt your knee?

cold for the first few days for the swelling, then go alternating with the hot then cold. For the hot you could also sit in a hot bath, that is if you can get out with a broken knee! **** Luck

hot packs, i think cold ones just take the swelling down, heat soothes the pain. go see a doctor, they maybe able to give you some pain medication. Knees are a bit#$ when they hurt, save yourself the agony and get help.

Hot packs initially to keep the swelling down, and then cold packs to numb the pain.

If it's seriously BUSTED I'd use a doctor, but that's just me. If it's just bannged up and bruised I'd alternate between cold and hot in that order. Hope this helps.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my injured friend.

Insha'Allah, until you can get professional medical assistance use the "RICE" method.
Rest for the injnured area.
Ice to help control any swelling.
Compreshion for support and,
Elevation while resting.

Insha'Allah, go to see your doctor as soon as possible. Should you find that you require surgery, go to a sports medicine specialist as they will get you back inot thte game sooner than a regular orthopedic surgeon.

Ma'a salaam

fitness magazines would tell you use a cold pack on mussels, and a hot pack on anything else.
