Try rolling up an adults towel and then placing it in the bath and place her head/neck on it so her head is out of the water and her body is still in and then just sit by the bath and let her splash around, she may enjoy having a bit more freedom to move around and it helps save mums back as you are not leaning over the whole time plus it makes it easier to wash her hair and body

How about trying to put just a little water in the bath and get in with her. This will let her see there is nothing to be frightened of. Something has frightened her or perhaps soap has nipped her eyes or a cut or scratch or something.

When my children were young I always put 3 or 4 toys in the tub with them and let them play, then took them out and dried them off. After awhile I was then able to wash them again without the crying and always hold a washcloth above the forhead to keep water from running in the face. That causes alot of fear that they are drowning when their not.

Everything to a baby is new, and they might be scared if its like a bubble bath, because there not used to seeing that.
Only way you can probably fix this is, to get in the bath tub with her, so she can see its not bad, and you'll be ok.

Make bath time fun. Make her laugh. No Unhappiness. Make sure water is warm and everything (room temp., soap strength) is just right. Maybe she had an open cut somewhere that stings.

Does she have any diaper rash that might burn? You might try keeping the lights muted, playing soft classical music and using lavendar scented baby wash. Another suggestion is to get in the tub with her so she feels extra secure.

Well, it's getting cold. Is it drafty where you bathe her?
try changing the location where you bathe her. Just something to distract her and get her to not think aobut whatever is making her cry.
