Most modern music seems to stem from black music but Rock has been predominately a white music. Does any body know why this is..

Bad Brains ruled the roost of the D.C. hardcore scene for awhile.
A new band from Bristol, England called Fortune Drive is 2/5 black, including the singer/lead guitarist....their tune "My Girlfriend's an Arsonist" is pretty cool. www.myspace.com/fortunedrive

Living Colour would be the prime example. Led by guitarist Vernon Reid and singer Corey Glover, Living Colour were "discovered" by Mick Jagger, who helped them score a record deal (and produced a track on their first album).
