is it humanly possible to transfer an engine from a muscle car to a Vauxhall Cavalier?

Biggest challenge you'd face is converting the car to rear-wheel-drive, as a big V8 with gearbox would never fit across the engine bay, and would snap its driveshafts the first time you gave it some beans. If you have the resources, time, and money, I daresay it's possible, but it won't be easy.
If you want more power from a Cavvy, why not start with the 2.5V6 that the car had as an option, and modify that engine?

we used to have a ford capri with a 4.7 v8 buick in it looked like a bog standard capri but them xr3i's and gti's didnt stand a chance we also had a 1958 105e anglia that did the standing 1/4 in 6 seconds but that was heavily reinforced

would half to take closer look . years ago i put 327 Chevy into a vega. depends on how much time and effort you want to spend.

Yes, it is possible, but not easy.

Lots of customizations, lots of work.

both engines have to be the same look alike or it wont fit
