Aram's servant, Lei, explains that the spell Jeile cast was supposed to turn Aram into an old man when he entered darkness (night, a dark closet, etc.) and deny him use of his magic. Skip Beat or Fruits Basket
Skip Beat is my personal favorite there. But Fruits Basket involves school life, romance, and a little comedy. Skip Beat has comedy and a little romance.

All of these are published in N. America by Viz - Shoujobeat, except Fruits Basket (Tokyopop), and Hana Kimi (Viz - Shoujo).
In my humble opinion: Shoujo is better read (as manga), and Shounen is better watched (as anime.)

I would highly reccomend Peach Girl: Change of Heart and Paradise Kiss. They are great! I believe they are both on the tokyopop website.
