Well of course you should use protection if you are trying to avoid pregnancy. But the time that you are fertile is 5 days before you ovulate (since sperm can live up to 5 days) up until the day after ovulation, since the egg is only good for 24 hours. If you are going to rely on timing it, then you would need to figure out when you ovulate. However, ovulation can occur early or later any given month, so it's not the most effective method. Basically right before your period is due, and while you are on it is the time you are least likely to get pregnant because there is no good egg to fertilize.

It'S that time when you go to the drugstore and buy a condom ;)
All women are different, tho most of women ovulate like 14 days before your period, you could be totaly different.
I would suggest protecting yourself either with a condom or the pill or --even better! -- both

the 10th to the 16th day after you first day of your period
This does not always work, stress can cause a change in ovulating. That is how I got my brother, my grandfather died, my mom had sex with my dad on a safe day, and nine months later, my youngest brother were born
You should not have sex without protections

Well you can get pregnant anytime, day, night, weekend, second, hour or minute. The best way is to just use protection or don't do anything at all.

Depends on your cycle. For a 28 day cycle, you need to stop on the eight day and resume on the eighteenth.

Please, if you are not wanting to get pregnant...DO NOT RELY on interval, temperature, or pull out.
Talk to a physician about which form of contraception is best for you.
