well i used to think i should fight. but i'm just a little girl. i've left with a bloody lip more than once. that was when i was still on drugs and stuff. then when i first was clean i was a scarcastic smart ***. i tried to make the person i was arguing with feel dumb so that i could prove i was right. that didnt really work either. i reckon i've matured a little because i'm more reserved. as long as i know i'm right inside thats whats important.

I speak my part and move on.
Fighting to prove you're right seldom comes across as such. A person convinced against their will, is of the same opinion still. The other person has to come to the conclusion about what's true/false, right / wrong on their own.

I fight to prove I'm right most of the time, but if I'm fighting over something stupid, I usually just say my part and move on.

it depends on the issue. Mostly i fight to prove i'm right - be that right or wrong. But i also won't beat my head against a brick wall, so sometimes i do just speak my mind and move on.

Speak my part and hear theirs, if they prove me wrong through fact, then I accept, if our argument is based on different opinions, then usually - I try to find a common ground or agree to disagree, so we can both move on.
If the person persists, arguing and trying to prove that they are right, I raise my voice up to theirs and ask them to stop or simply leave, as I can't stand back and forth fussing that goes nowhere.

if i know i'm 100% right then i'll fight to prove it to the other person but if i have a sliver of doubt then i'll usually just speak my part and move on.

I guess it depends on how invested I am in the issue. If I feel really passionately about something, I'll fight for it. If I just have an opinion, and it's not a big deal to me, I'll state my opinion and let it go at that. Sometimes, if I know an issue is a big deal to someone else but not to me, and I don't agree with him/her, I'll just keep my opinion to myself to avoid a pointless argument.

I think it comes down to how passionate you are about your opinion & who you are discussing it with. With your closest family & friends you can often afford to be more open about your opinions, whereas noone can kill a conversation quicker than an overly dogmatic stranger harping on and on about their views. The best advice I've heard is to ask yourself the question 'do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?'. If you want to be right, then by all means go on & get your point across. But if in doing so you are going to create unhappiness & ill-feeling with people, then perhaps it is best to keep your opinions to yourself.

if I KNOW I'm right, I'll fight to prove it...if I THINK I'm right, I might just move on so I don't start an argument haha

If I can see I'm getting nowhere, I just tell the person they are being stupid and move on. (stupid is the worst thing I can think to call someone in a moment like that, my mother wouldnt allow us to ever say that word growing up)
