About age 3. My parents had no clue that I had figured it out. I was a very practical child, knew that majic just did not happen. Santa could not possibly see all those kids, get into the houses leave al the toys without someone seeing him. And it was my Mother's handwriting on the to: from: cards.
If I still believed, my 5th Christmas would have proved it. Dad had bought a bike for me, and the cheap skate put it together himself, [instead of having the guy at the store do that for money] in the garage, after they thought I was asleep. Not asleep, and since the garage is close to my bedroom, heard the colorful language coming from there, as well as the sound of a bike being put together. I told Mom at the time that I knew who really gave me the bike, and years and years later told them I did not believe, never had. Finally Mom admitted that I was a very good actress. They needed me to believe, so I left them in the dark. A couple years ago my cousins were talking about my shyness around the department store Santa, and I told them why, no he is Santa's helper, they said. No, he was hired by the store, and I knew he wasn't real.
Every year of my life well into adulthood, "Santa" brought me a special present, above that year's budget. One year it was a hair dryer, another electric curlers. Santa was Dad.
I was an only child too, and when my classmates figured it out and gleefully told me, I was not surprised.

I was around 10 or 11. But I didn't tell my parents that i knew, I wants about to loose getting more gifts. lol (I was a greedy little kid i guess...) But I finally just stopped leaving cookies and stuff out for my parents to eat when i was like 12 because I felt silly doing it. But I think it broke my parents hearts though, knowing that they no longer had a little girl. But they still write from Santa on some of my gifts and i'm 23. I love it, but i still think that Santa is a good feeling and is in everyone all year round.

I was about 12 when I found out my parents were Santa, I never told them I knew. I would ask for cheaper things after that.
I'm 27 and have kids of my own, I still humor my parents and send a wish list to Santa. My girls make cookies and leave a Dr. Pepper for Santa, My 7 year old thinks that if she leaves something other than milk Santa will remember her more. Works for me I hate milk.

we all still believe in santa in our house..in a sense....i was about 10 when i found out the truth. my oldest son started asking questions around 7 because a kid in his class told EVERYONE in the class santa wasn't real. my youngest is 8 right now and his brother has done a really good job of keeping him a believer. we do have a rule at our house during the holiday season...if you don't believe, you're not allowed in our house. even my son's friends are believers during the holiday season even though they are teenagers!

i finished believing in Santa till now i became 5, yet that became by means of fact i became informed the certainty by way of my older siblings. i've got faith in God as a Christian now, yet my siblings do not, so there can't be any uncomplicated causation. by the way, Santa did exist. the parable we've is quite a few thoughts from distinctive traditions run collectively, so there are quite a few historic figures the parable must be based upon. between the superb applicants must be Saint Nicholas whose call became corrupted to Santa Claus. for sure he isn't alive & turning in provides in a reindeer-powered sleigh at the instant.

I still believe in Santa! I was like 12 and I was so upset. I have kids now and they're starting to not believe anymore, it sadens me. However, I do believe in Christmas miracles, I encounter one every year around Christmas, that keeps me in the spirit.
