There could be two reasons either your fish is hungry and thinks that you are going to feed him or they look at you out of curiosity but most probably your fish is expecting to be fed

I have two thoughts on this:

1) your fish associates your presence with feeding time and isn't really looking at you at all
OR
2) your fish tank is near your computer keyboard and it's simply trying to read whatever nonsensical question you're currently typing.

He's either curious about the outside world, or he could just be waiting for food, because he always sees you feed him. And if you're wondering, fish don't feel love for other creatures (I don't even think they have love for other fish, they just mate), so, unfortunately, he's not looking at you for love of his owner.

That he is either hungry and sees you as a nice appetizer, or that he is a happy curious little fish.... :0)

My betta ALWAYS zooms to the top of his tank and looks at me when I look at his tank. He thinks he is going to be fed. Your fish is probably just hungry. No worries! =)

He could be hungry or maybe he's bored of looking at stuff in the tank, or maybe hes not even looking at you, but rather his refection on the glass.

He probally associates you with food and when he sees you expects to get fed if you are the one that feeds him in the home

He is probably hungry. My three ciclids (fish) do that when they are hungry. Try feeding it...
