With all the organizations vying for your time. you don't need one that's full of snobs! I belong to Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Maine Geocaching Association, Autism Society of Maine and I get treated like a queen. But The Womens' Literary Union snubbed me because of my street address. So I know there are some real jerks out there.

Depends on the organization. For instance, the Hell's Angels would have no respect for me....since I don't know how to ride a bike.

because most people are selfish,but you may find a few that are worth it ,and make a big difference,so stick around and time will tell when they start to know you
