Rest your hand on a flat surface to keep it steady and stand (or sit) quite close to the mirror so you can see what you are doing. Dont pull your eyelid because this will cause cracks in your eyeliner later on and it will not look smooth and remember *Practice Makes Perfect* :)

Prop your hand on your face while applying eyeliner, (this will steady your hand). I have found that a shadow-liner is a bit more forgiving.
