Can someone tell me if London Victoria is an actual train station? I can't seem to find out how to get to Brighton from there. Also can anyone give me any good sites on how to get to Brighton from London Liverpool street station.

Yes Victoria is one of the largest railway stations in London. Fast trains to Brighton depart from Victoria every 30 minutes
taking 51 minutes. (Journey times are slightly longer on Sundays). From Liverpool Street travel by Underground Circle Line to Victoria or take a route 11 bus. Alternatively take the Underground from Liverpool Street to Kings Cross and catch the First Capital Connect train service from St Pancras International to Brighton; the service is frequent and takes approximately 75 to 80 minutes.

The original name was Victoria Station, but, in order to distinquish it from other like-sounding stations (such as Manchester Victoria), it has been prefixed by "London". The London Underground station at this locus is called simple "Victoria".
Victoria Station is on the north bank of the Thames (just), about half a mile south east of Buckingham Palace.
From Brighton take a train to London Victoria. On arrival at the main-line station, follow the signs for the underground station, and, in particular the eastbound District and Circle Lines. Ignore any District Line train and take the first Circle Line train. (It is usual for Circle Line trains to stand for a few minutes at Aldgate station - it is the only place where they can stand time without disrupting other trains). Liverpool Street station is the station after Aldgate.

London Victoria is an actual train station. It is also a tube station. I believe there is also a bus terminus nearby as well of the same name. Not sure whether there are any trains between Brighton and Victoria but ask National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950. You'll need to speak to Transport for London to see how to get from Victoria to Liverpool St Station on the tube.

Victoria is a real station, 5 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace.
Trains to Brighton generally go 4 times an hour, two fast (just one or two stops) the others slow. Fast takes about 50 mins, slow 1hr15.
You can't get direct from Liverpool Street to Brighton.
I'd suggest either the Circle line underground from underground platform 1 to Victoria, or any tube from underground platform 2 to Kings Cross, cross over the road to Kings Cross Thameslink, and train from there.
If you're coming into Liverpool Street from Stansted direction get off at Tottenham Hale and get the Victoria line straight to Victoria.

Yes it is one of the major London stations.
Best way to get from Victoria to brighton is to change at Clapham Junction or East Croydon- I go to London from Brighton every week for uni.

Try http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ for times and easiest way to travel.
There are trains to Brighton from London Bridge and Victoria station.
London Bridge is nearer to Liverpool Street Station, and if you have come past Stratford for Liverpool Street I can recommend changing at Stratford onto the Jubilee line which stops at London Bridge Station.

Yep London Victoria is an actual train station, just outside the main doors are steps that lead to the tubes. I don't know if you can go directly to there from Brighton but I know it goes from Eastbourne then onto Haywards Heath, East Croydon and Victoria itself

From Liverpool Street, take the westbound Circle or Hammersmith & City train 2 stops to Farringdon.
Walk across the platform and down 3 steps to the First Capital Connect platforms. From there you will be able to get a train direct to Brighton.
