Although I was young I was born prior to World War II and so was my wife. However, there are many veterans of World War II available to interview, I was just with several for breakfast. The local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) had their breakfast this morning. My brother in law’s local VFW will be having a dinner next week. This goes on all of the time. Look in the phone book for the VFW or American Legion or contact your local County veteran Association or look for local military museums, all with have contacts with local veterans. At the very least contact your local library and ask them for a list of veterans’ organizations.

For those who seem to feel such veterans are old and hard to find, they are wrong, there are many available in nearly every community throughout the United States.

I have several family members who lived during the war, but they're probably not convienent to you, and most don't use the internet well. If you're in the US, try your local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) hall or organization like that. You may also be able to find someone in a local assisted living facility. There are a lot of people out there who would like to share their experiences.

I know a person who lived through that, who's mother was in the Auschwitz, and who almost died. Her mother is now dead(she lived years after the war), but the person who told me this is still alive, and so are the stories. I see that person quite often, and I can try to help. The stories I've heard are more personal than full of data, though. But I will try. Well, edit and ask!

My mom likes to chat regarding the international conflict II days. She would not have a working laptop or computer yet i'm particular she could be satisfied to respond to by me. in actuality, I in all likelihood be attentive to how she will answer besides as she does because of the fact she's pronounced it so in many circumstances and that i for my section listened because of the fact i'm a history buff.

Wow, that's a school project? What if you can't find anyone? Then you'll get a F?

Anyways, sorry, I don't know anyone who lived during WWII. I doubt many are on Yahoo Answers either.
