These bums in the congress and senate are too comfortable. The founding fathers never intended for "career" politicians like Reid, Kennedy, Pelosi, Boxer, Murhta and their like. All the kings and queens of the pork barrel should be barred from holding office again. They have run this great country into the ground. WE are their bosses, let's FIRE them!!

There is certain merit to the idea. Our government has stepped so far away from what the founding fathers intended. The problem is that in this modern society, we would be back to the same crap in no time. Those with the most money have the most influence to warp our government (and this is in both parties)
What would be probably more helpful is to re-establish that the Supreme Court cannot MAKE laws, but only interpret them, and go back to every decision that has been made by the Supreme Court which established law, rather than merely interpreted it, and have it addressed by Congress, with input from their constituents.
Our Supreme Court has bastardized our Constitution to the point of absurd.
saharaaj...appoint living ex-presidents? Carter and Clinton were two HUGE parts of the problem. Get real!

The US government does not work that way.
Its not like a parliamentary government where the Prime minister can dissolve the whole thing and call for new elections for the whole country...
You either have to pick a set of candidates you think will bring about change or you have to seriously consider taking up arms in revolution.
Since I seriously doubt you have the nerve to truly stand up for what you believe, then I suppose voting for "change" candidates is your only option...

The US government must not be dissolved but only to change the leaders in order to have a new hope for the betterment of the country.
