remove the ram and run an eraser along the contacts to clean them.
then blow into the ram slot to remove any dust that would be causing crossfeed.
insert the ram flat and push so both clips pop at the same time and try booting back up.

Your RAM might be not fully inserted. Try to insert it again and again until you get back to your original memory. Make sure to unplug all the power cords from main supply before inserting your RAM. If not, you will damage your RAM and your motherboard. You also can try to insert your RAM on other RAM slot.
Based on my experience, cost to repair the damaged RAM is higher then the price of a new RAM. It is better to buy the new one. Nowadays, most RAM in the market are life time warranty. I suggest you to keep the resit whenever you buy the new one. If the RAM is not function any more because of the RAM's life spend itself then forward the resit with that RAM to the store where you bought them. They will repair your RAM or replace with the new one if they have the stock for the same RAM as yours. But I believe they won't pay you back.
Good Luck

Perhaps you pulled/pushed a bit too hard when removing/returning the Ram and damaged a small part of it.
Or perhaps it wasn't inserted properly, or a bit to loosely. Check again. If all else fails, get a new RAM memory stick.

RAM, i.e. memory sticks aren't repairable. If somehow your memory has gone bad there's nothing to do for it, however that may not be the problem. Take it to a repair shop. Sorry but it sounds as if you really aren't sure of what you are doing.
