Does her virginity matter to u? Y? Examine that, and then u might understand y she's being a bit wishy washy.

I used to think it was good to be virgins upon marriage. But now I don't know anymore. It would be nice if both were either virgins, or not virgins. An imbalance may lead to problems. Because virginity is cherished by the culture, but men do often feel the need to play b4 marriage while they expect their future wives not to do so. This creates dischord, because, their wives think that if they can make a sacrifice for their husband's hand, then their men should also. The husbands don't feel so. They don't want to be inexperienced, and tell themselves that their wives would want them confident, and the only way to be confident is by getting experience. But really, men only want to satisfy urges...but since sex is taboo in indian culture, they want their women to be what they couldn't be....pure. They justify this by saying mens' drives are stronger, so lack of control on a woman's part makes her a ***** since she just gave it away. ANything to justify a male wrong doing.

It's not possible during periods, but it is possible w/o intercourse. If she rode a bike, or did the splits, or stretch, or anything that might involve the hymen stretching; and that could cause a break.

Maybe she was molested or something. Anything sexual is tied to emotions, so if a guy did violate her, or if she did have a prior experience that she regretted, she'd want to preserve her chastity. But then, sex is just seen as penetration. So, a kiss is just a kiss. It feels good, but it can't get ur pregnant, it's an expression of love, and lust. I feels great too. A room provides privacy, so u could lay on a bed and makeout. Fully, meaning, kissing, touching, petting...exploring each other's bodies, anything but sex. Most women like foreplay better than sex anyway...and foreplay isn't sex, so they can justify doing those things prior to marriage and not be considered unclean.

Hm...If she's telling u the truth, then she might've been raped or molested in her past. OR maybe if she was forced to do something, u can't say that she did it willingly. That's like saying a rape victim lost her virginity.

All this is assuming she's telling the truth. iF she lived a sheltered life, then maybe she is telling u the truth. But if she went to college in a liberal part of india, then maybe not. U'll never know for sure. This is the problem with the secrecy in India. It's there because people can't handle their partners might've had a past, and there's really no reason to know. But then, there is...because of situations like urs and ur girl's. If she was permitted to disclose her past w/o fears that u or anyone may not marry her, she could let u know y she's permissive...but NOT permissive. U could understand it and deal with it. But this is not so for indian women, so now, u just have to pray that if she's the one for u...she can put her past in her past(and so can u), and go on with ur life...and raise a good family.

Good luck.

It really does depend on the culture she comes from. Many women in some cultures are extremely sheltered from men, and never even meet the man they marry until their wedding. So, yes it is entirely possible that this young lady has never been kissed before. And if that is so, it is also likely that, never having been touched, she is not willing to allow anyone to touch her before marriage. As for point 2. Yes that is also true. Many things like activity during sports, riding a bicycle, or using certain feminine hygiene products can rupture the hymen, so a woman may still be a virgin even if the hymen is not intact. There is no dishonor in it. She can still and truly respect herself, and not want to be touched.

Oh dude if she belongs to India it can b possible tht she haven't kissed ny1. Well, as far as virginity is concern i don't think hymen can break while a period but by doing workouts or ny accident or while doin masturbation it may break. Forget 'bout the past man, u r lucky tht u got sum1 nd if she says tht she loves then u should also lov her. before thinking 'bout her virginity think of those who don't even hav a partner to share sumthing. C'mmon no girl wants to b so ill mannered tht if u touch her pvt parts she would allow u so soon. They will throw sum tantrums coz they want to bly u first n then every thing goes smooth.

1. What are your characters to you? How do you feel about them? What do you feel about the other opinions? Well, I see my characters both as people, and as tools. They are devices that I use to create the story, but they are living with real emotions and desires. In some ways, they're like minions, carrying out my bidding. My characters never do something I don't want them to do. Sure I might get an idea where they do something I hadn't expected them to, but if it was something I didn't want, I wouldn't put it there. The characters don't necessarily have any control over the story, I do. Similarly - when reading... 2. Do you see characters as interesting plot-devices or living breathing people? Or something else? When I read, it's different. While when I write, they're more of a mix, when I read, they are living breathing people, assuming the story is well written. I feel bad when they die, or something bad happens, I'm happy when good things happen. Feel nervous before they do something dangerous. If I'm interested in the character as a person, I'm more interested in the story. 3. Have you written about any characters with mental disabilities/personality disorders/mental issues...? How did you find it? I haven't. I don't have any mental disabilities, nor do I know anyone with any disabilities. While I don't believe in the write what you know "rule," I still try to not stray to far in subjects I have absolutely no idea about. I absolutely hate research, so when it comes to characters, I don't normally give them traits in which I have no way to accurately portray. 4. How similar are your characters to yourself or the people around you? Do you base any characters on friends? In some ways, my characters are all little pieces of me. Not in that horrible Mary Sue way, but they are my creations. I have characters that share a few of my traits, and others that share none, but all the same, they came from me. I don't base them off friends or family members. I might take traits from characters off tv and books, and give them to my characters, but I rarely use traits from people I know. 5. Do you ever feel like your characters are 'going out of character'? Everyone now and then. Especially when the book I'm writing is really long. The character at the end, may do something they wouldn't have in the beginning. Granted I want them to change and grow, but they can still do that while staying true to character. I wrote something once where I had a strong, tough, yet kindhearted female, who started to become a little over angsty, which was so unintentional and I cringe at the thought, since there is almost nothing worse.
