Any of the above answers, except the one about your misspelling of "accelerate". Also, your fuel injectors or carburetor (if you have an older car) may be clogged and in need of service. First, I suggest buying and trying a "Fuel System Cleaner" at your local auto parts store. Not just a gas additive, but a system cleaner. It's the cheaper way to try first and see if your car's performance improves. If it does, problem solved and just keep at it every month or so.

starving for fuel, blocked or clogged fuel filter/line, depends if it is a fuel injection or a carbie, if a carbie, could well have the power jet blocked, fuel injection, you will need to put it in and have it fixed

check the fuel filter as well. Don't know what you're driving, but either job should be fairly simple. peace
