hey, in about 3 months i have state trials i got invited to go i need to train LOTS.. the main things i need to improve is speed over like 15-20meters and my right foot (im left footed) i have a bit of time as school holidays are nearly here for me. i would like to train about 4 or 5 times a week. any ideas? thanks heaps.

If you need to improve your speed, I suggest running up hill. Do it in sprints. If you can improve going up hill, then on the flat, you'll be a speed demon. The nice thing about running is it doesn't cost you anything.

u need to run atleast 5-8 kms every day coz that's how much each player runs during a standard 90 min match. and as you are left-footed practice jumping on ur right leg(hopping) and standing on ur toes with the rest of the feet lifted up(to increase calves) and long distance shooting with ur left foot. high protein diet with lotsa fruits and vegetables and dribbling the length of the field with the crossovers and other moves. and last but not the least watch soccer professional matches and understand the strategy associated with the postions.(lik midfield,forward etc..)
