LOL!

It will sell for what it can fetch, which may or may not bear ANY resemblance to its taxable value. Look at what recent property sold for in the same county for a guide...

Best wishes

Tax assessed value of vacant land many times does not even remotely reflect what it may bring on the open market. The location of the property and its potential uses are what will determine its selling price.

Before you actually attempt to sell this parcel, I STRONGLY recommend that you get either an appraisal at market value, or consult with a qualified real estate agent who can assist you in determining the potential monetary value of the parcel.

Good luck.

The tax assessment very rarely is close to the actual property value. I have see values way higher, and way lower. Call a local Realtor and ask them to do a CMA. This will give you a better idea and its free. You could just hire an appraiser but its gonna cost you.

I am an appraiser in Texas. What you can do is go to a local mortgage broker or banker and tell them you are interested in either selling your home or refinancing your home. Then a request for an appraisal will be submitted. What the appraiser does is gets similar houses in your area or whatever radius he or she is limited to and compares the market sales.
