Dear Sir / Madam, I was working for a Indian company as a senior artist. I once visited Dubai from India on 8 Jan 2007 & returned back on 10 Jan 2007 with them.

Few days back I received a call from that company that I will be blacklisted in Dubai & will be put to jail if I ever visit to Dubai again, because High Authorities in Dubai are saying that I am still in Dubai. so i should send them my passport details & page where i have received my returning stamp from Dubai.

Please help me, as I don't want to give details to that employer as I am afraid they may misuse it. As I already have left that Company.
I really don't know whether they are telling truth or lie. I have checked my passport I have my visiting stamp to Dubai as well as returning stamp on my passport.

I am in India, Is there any other way so I can sort out this problem or Contact someone in the Authorities. Please Help.

This cant be true.

Dubai has one of the most highly secured e-government transaction system and Immigration is just a part of it. All visitors entering and leaving are properly documented and NONE can leave Dubai without any EXIT stamped on their passport and NOT registered in the Immigrations central Data System.

All qualified and mandatory visitors are issued a vist visa on their arrival with a Bar Code reflecting the Visa No. This number shall be stamped and reflected on the Passport page once you entered the city. The same page shall be stamped out once you are leaving the city and if you have that stamp - then legally, you are NOT in Dubai anymore.

If what you are claiming in your question is correct, then this would be the first documented case of an alien officially out of the city but is legally still within the city. See the impact of your status here...

I smell something fishy with that company saying you will be jailed. In the first place, the first one to complain in your case would be the entity who sponsored your visit in Dubai since they are the one who will be charged with heavy penalty since you will be a case of absconding alien.

And believe me, they should have contacted you way back in March 2007 about the case because visit visa expires after 60 days from the date of entry !

The simple solution is apply for a visit visa, if you are blacklisted the visa will be rejected, at which point you can invest the time into finding out why, with the rejection reference in your hand.

While I concur with the above comment that the e-government system is excellent, I know from personal experience that those exit stamps do not guarentee that the immigration and labour departments computers will be updated and it usually takes hard work on the part of the PRO to get photocopies of the exit and physically take it to the 2 departments to request the exit be updated on the system.

Locate the Dubai embassy where you are located and deal with them directly. What type of passport do you hold? Most passports are highly priced in the black market, it would be very unwise for you to send any of your personal information to anyone that is not a legally authorized to use it. be careful.

Does Dubai have an embassy or consulate for your home country, I'm assuming to be India? Perhaps you can telephone them and ask what can be done to solve your problem. Or if there's an embassy for Dubai in India, you might can get help there. Good luck.
