To be honest i think only you can answer that one. Everybody has different methods of studying.
I study the weekends now seeing as i am in final year but before this year i used to work and go out all weekend. Never touched a book!
You do have to take time out for yourself. College work can get so overwhelming, especially if you have exams looming, so taking time to enjoy yourself is vital.
If you study too much your brain cant take it all (in my case anyway!)Doing that does more harm that good. Doing a good two hours work is sometimes better than doing a 6 hour stretch.
Sort out a system that suits you. Make sure it incorporates plenty of freee time!

That would be up to the individual person. Do you need to study or can you make it up during the week before homework or a test? Remember, your "paying" for this schooling, the teachers could care less if you pass or not. They still get their paycheck. The school doesn't care because they still get their money too. So, be wise, if you NEED to study, then study. Whenever you have to. Weekend or not. Your paying for this. You fail, you pay again.

You study until you know it inside and out.
All of us use to groan on Sunday nights at the library when they closed earlier than the rest of the week and herded us out from the photocopy machine center.

Due to their busy and packed schedules, college students should read as much as they can during the week and concentrate mostly on finishing their assignments during weekends. If they have any spare time left on weekends, they can play and relax.

Your grades should dictate that question. While in colledge
if my grades were up I would take a break. Otherwise hit the
books. I wanted a education, not a party.
