The word kalpana is neither Urdu nor Punjabi. It is a Hindi word meaning imagination. Several girls are also given the name Kalpana. When a couple gets a child smart, intelligent and beautiful beyond their expectation or imagination, they name the child as Kalpana.

Kalpana is a punjabi and hindi word meaning imagination. There is no such word in urdu. It is used by urdu speaking people under the influence of other indian languages.

kalpaana may be a word more like a slang used for tantallizing.
