a few weeks ago i was sure i had 20 euro in my trouser pocket and i put them into the washing machine without realising it, when i went to look for the money it wasn't in my trousers anymore and it wasn't in the machine!

then yesterday my sister done the same thing but with 40 euro, so now my machine should have 60 euro rattling around in it but i cant find it, i looked in the drum, the seal, the filter and its not there!

they were all notes, where else might it be??
its a front loader!

cheers!

i dont think it would have been able to leave the washing machine, it would be too big (i think), and it wouldn't be mashed up, this happened to me before but i found the money in the drum!
its not in the filter, i already said that!

rrg, money can survive a washing machine, it has happened to me loads of times and i found it in the drum but this time its bot in the drum!!

money isnt made of paper, its made of linen and seen as you wash linen all the time, theres no reason for money not to survive!!

2 places it may be if it got under the seal it may be hiding there or under the machine, 2nd it may have made it's way down to the pump, some pumps have a collection basket on them that catches this sort of stuff 2 screws and the basket opens up and you can clean it out, i cleaned one out and it had a comb, assorted change,2 rings,a pen and other odds and ends in it so that would be your best bet.

I continually look for money that I spent already, and I always wonder where it went until I remember it was spent.

One thing is for sure the washer is not going to spend it. If it didn't, and you didn't, it should be laying in there when you take the clothes out; that's always when I, unless, of course, I've spent it six times already.

Now if you DO find money in the machine, how do you prove whose it is? This is why I have imposed a Washing Machine Tax, which states that any money I find in the washing machine is MINE.

It was probably found and spent. My spouse loves it when I do laundry (work clothes) because I never go through my pockets and the rule is whoever finds the $$, keeps the $$.

Occasionally, she will taunt me after finding large amounts of $$$ in the washer or dryer.

if it hasn't got mashed and gone down the drain the it's more than likely stuck between the drums would cost you more to get it out so put it down to experience and don't leave money in your pockets again

Unscrew the agitator that's in the center of the drum and look there. That's where I usually find things

i'm afraid there is no way of resalvaging yours or your sisters money from the wash!

the water, combined with heat, and the motion of the load means that the money had no chance of surviving. it would have transformed into mush, and in turn disintegrated into nothing!

my only advised is to check your pockets before you flick the switch.

your money has gone to a mystery world in another dimension where odd socks usually end up.
