but you know all that. The carp's scales vary in size. It has large scales that are dark-edged, with a black spot at the base. Most carp are heavily scaled, but two genetic mutants show either few, extremely large scales (the “mirror carp”) or no scales at all (the “leather carp”). On a normal fully grown carp, which can reach 30 inches in length, and weights of 10 - 15 lbs, the largest scales would be around two inches around. As they are not circular they do not have a 'circumference' as such, rather a 'perimeter'.

ww2, marines or navy, got killed he was bechwrecked and broke his back when HQ asked how he was he replied "anyone want some coco nuts?", don't know
