Well from what he said it was pretty clear that he had, but that you would never find out. The guy has been bodybuilding since he was a teen. He has bound to have used them.
And when anyone won't give you a straight answer, they are usually lying.

CNN used editing tactics to manipulate what he said to their advantage. They do this all the time in interviews to make the story look more interesting or curve their story. I'm sorry what they are doing is very wrong. They are destroying peoples lives. This is not news this is basically like the same stuff the tabloids do. If you watch the entire interview, the unedited version you will realize that what CNN published was what they wanted the public to hear. They want the public to think that all athletes definitely the wrestlers are on steroids or some sorts of drugs. I am not saying that some are not because nobody's perfect, but just because one person does it don't mean everybody has to do it. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Yes, I am a fan of John Cena and the WWE, and most sports out there. Maybe go to wwe.com and check out the full interview and see what they did to that interview and maybe you will understand. The media just wants you to believe that one side of the story and not the other side.

I watched both interviews the edited and unedited version. I don't believe that John Cena has ever used steroids. Some people may say he has because of how big he is but its called hard work. Which some people don't know what that means. If you work hard for years like Cena has then you'd be as big as him. For CNN to do that is just ridiculous. I went to their website and I can't find the interview with Cena. They must have taken it off because the only part of that series they had was the tid bit they did with Mr and Mrs McMahon. They probably received a lot of e-mails regarding this subject.

I've watched both versions of the interview at the wwe.com website, and it's time to put this story to rest.
To answer the original question, Did CNN fudge the John Cena interview? Yes.
Cena's answer, in the unedited interview, to whether or not he used steroids: Absolutely not.
It was poor reporting on CNN's part and both the reporter and producer of the piece should face some sort of discipline from the network.
Has Cena used steroids?
This interview cannot answer that question, and we cannot answer yes or no with any certainty. We know that Cena has denied it outright. We also know, according to Cena, that he has never failed a test.
There are only three ways to know if an individual has used steroids: They admit to using them, they fail a test, and/or an individual comes forward with undeniable proof (that would be video footage, complete with sound) showing them administering steroids to Cena. Anything beyond that is pure speculation.
Now that that has been addressed, the other point of contention is his comment that, "I can't tell you that I haven't, and you'll never be able to prove that I have".
Preceding this statement (in the uncut interview), he discussed how, in an opinion based society, people are going to believe what they want to, regardless of the information presented them.
In that light, the first portion of his statement, 'I can't tell you that I haven't', references his understanding that, even though he said he did not use steroids, people will either choose to believe him or not. He also brought concern to the fact that, even though he's passed every drug test given him, people assume that he's using masking agents rather than being clean.
The second portion of his statement 'and you'll never be able to prove that I have', is his assertion that he's never failed a drug test, and will continue to pass each test in the future. If they do keep his urine/blood, tests will be developed in the future that will either validate or refute his claims. Until then, it is irresponsible for anyone to proclaim any other position based on 'fact'.

CNN greatly edited the interview worse than Bashir did with Michael Jackson. Cena said "absolutely not" when asked if he'd taken steroid. The interviewer didn't get what she needed so she immediately ignored the answer and interrupted John.
When Cena said "I can't say I've never used steroids", he meant "because you still might not believe me if I just say it even though I've taken tests". This was pretty clear to me, but it's so much more clear when you see Cena's whole answer on wwe.com where he talks more.
As much as I hate Cena's ridiculous Hoganesque push and his general annoyingness, CNN should be severely hurt for this slander and irresponsible unprofessional behaviour. Sue them to hell if they can.

CNN has fudged John Cena reputation but at the same time I think all most all of the WWE Superstars have all tried some type of illegal drug at some stage of their life including John Cena.

Well, let me start off by saying I LOVE CENA and HE IS THE SOOOO HOTT!!! okayy... now for the real questionn:
You have to understand this man has been working out since he was a teenager in Massachusetts and i could see him being like that. My uncle used to work out like Cena and he was BUFFED! ((lol)) I really hope that Cena DOESN'T use steroids because of all the drawbacks from it, but i am pretty sure that if he does use steriods, he doesn't use a lot-

Well cena initially said that he "absolutely" had not ever used steroids in his entire life but then he took his answer elsewhere and said that he couldn't say that he hadn't ever taken them and that nobody could ever prove that he had ever taken them...ccn cut the first part about him saying that he had never taken them out...you can see the entire interview at wwe.com...i personally believe that he used them for a period and then quit...he stated in the interview that he is not angry with athletes that use steroids since that is there own choice...this statement alludes that the reason he is fine with others using steroids is because he probably has used them before in the past.

This was the most pathetic display of biased journalism i have ever seen. Cena clearly stated in the full interview "Absolutely not" and they blatantly hung him out to dry. I hope Vince sues them for all theyre worth. Noone watches CNN anyway
