The Lake House~If a movie can make me choke up a bit, I know it's a good one! They did a very convincing job of making you believe her plan had failed.
Donnie Darko~Donnie meets the death he had escaped before in order to save the girl he has fallen in love with, as well as righting other wrongs.
The Butterfly Effect (director's cut)~As in "Donnie Darko", he brings about his death in order to save the life of the girl he loves. Woah! That's bleak, isn't it? No, I'm not a gloom-and-doom person!
Hellboy~That final kiss is... *SIGH* What a great couple!
The Phantom of the Opera~I'm definitely a Christine/Raoul person. Erik wouldn't be what draws people to him if he won Christine. She ended up with the one she should have.
Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow~Well, Polly and Joe DO end up together after bickering through the whole film. That's a classic romance film situation.
Aquamarine~I never expected to like this one but found it very cute and funny, with some clever lines and situations.
Aha! People haven't been able to come up with much in the past few years either. Most are listing films that date far back in time. If they're listing favorites from the past, so will I! Many of these would be available at any videostore I imagine.
Romeo & Juliet (1968)~I've loved this one from the moment I saw it in the Sixties; almost 40 years later, I love it just as much.
