Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I don't know where all these people get off saying how the child will be teased etc. As one person answered, at least it isn't 4real, or a kid I use to know called Aerial Service. No kidding! I think you have gret ideas and you should just go for it. Some people are really mean and it seems they would rather their child be called Bob or Jane or something like that. I have a very unusual name and have never met anyone with the same name. I love that. My son has an unusual name also although less unusual than me. Our names are great conversation starters. I like that. I have no regrets about my name, have always loved it.

Your child should obviously have whatever name you as the parent think is best, but keep in mind that if you give this child that name that there might be consequences. For instance, it can sometimes be extremely annoying to constantly have to explain how to spell and pronounce your name to everyone you meet, all the time.
That said, Azmyth isn't really that weird comparitively speaking. Shannyn Sossamon's son is named Audio Science, and I suppose you can't do any worse than that couple in New Zealand who have a kid named 4real.

Kira isn't a strange name. A friend of mine's daughter is Kira and a girl in my daughters class is called Kira.

I think that Azmyth is a cruel name to use. Find something recognisable but uncommon rather than something which sounds made up.

Well me personally, I like that name because I like that it is creative and original, and even so, not weird in a way where I would say, Please don't name your baby that!

I don't know how your kid will feel, but I have never heard of someone having a creative name that didn't take pride in being distinguished and different. It would only be bad if it was weird and original like as if you wanted to name them Bonwetalemasan or something. Pardon if someone happens to actually have that name, I just made it up. ;)

Just remember, your child has to live with the name you pick. I think it is mean and strange... Dont you think your child will be constantly teased by other kids with a name like that? I hope you and your partner decide on another name, which wont get him/her teased by other kids... Good luck...

I don't think of it as strange, I think of it as unique =)
I like the name Azmyth.

I don't see why everyone thinks a kid will get picked on because they don't have the same name as the person next to them.
I've never been picked on because of my name and I've never seen anyone else been picked on because of their name either.

Congrats on your baby =)

It makes me think of azimuth - which is a mathematical term (from geometry stuff). I personally think it's good for a girl's name but not so much for a boy.

In the end it's up to you what you want to name your baby - whatever anyone else thinks doesn't matter.

I don't mind azmyth for a girl, to be honest, I have never known a latishia in my life so azmyth and latishia are equally unusual to me.

I would hate the name azmyth for a boy though... just seems very feminine to me.

I dont think it's that wierd. It's just a unique name. But I think it's a boy's name. Latishia is nice too.

I think both names are alright.
