any bank will let you open a saving account but check and insure you read the fine print so you do not get caught in some of the pits like fees for not maintaining certain balance or trying to make too make monthly withdrawals!!!

As another answer said, go to several banks and ask to see someone in new accounts and see what they have to offer. You will be surprised at how different they all are. Some will offer on line service some not. Some will pay you interest on your balance, some not. Some will charge you 75 cents for every transaction, some have 100 free transactions. So read and ask questions. See which ones serves your needs. I bank at Chase and I started at a small local bank, which was bought out and that bank got gobble up by a bigger fish and that one got grabbed by a bigger bank. And occasionally I check with other banks to see what they are doing and I've stayed with Chase because they actually have the best programs for me.

Go to a bank, ask for a pamphlet on their savings accounts, then go to a few other band you might be interested in and do the same. This should tell you everything you need to know. Sometimes banks require a certian amount of money to be stashed in the account at all times (or suffer a penalty), some do not.
