Uh, no. Plain and simple, no. How big is it now? I can guarantee you it's already stunted. It should have reached a bit more than a foot before 1.5 years, and the fact that at its adult size, it wouldn't even be able to turn around in that tank, it is indubitably stunted. After 10 years, it's way too late to fix it. It will likely suffer from deformed organs, muscles, and bones, leading to failures, and death. You should have realized that a tank that small can't permanently hold a 12+ inch fish...

EDIT: There is no question that your fish is stunted, think about what you say before you say it. Despite its normal appearance, your fish is breaking down internally.

That seems a little small to me. I wouldnt keep a full grown oscar in anything less than a 55 gallon. Seems like in a 30 gallon he would hardly have the room to move.

No really no. Its going to die easily. I would personally give the Oscar a 55 gallon tank.

hes probably half the size of your tank by now? id say get him something a little bigger... a 55 would be really good for him. make sure you put all his old water in the new tank and don't rinse the filter gunk so you don't kill the bacteria.
