Toddler is 15 months and I give a very low dose like 300 mg 4 days a week mixed with her table food? (fish oil has DHA and EPA) which is supposed to be good for brain and eye development. (she was breastfed till 12 months and now on table food and cows milk).

I want to hear your opinions and experience..

It's perfectly safe and wonderful to give to toddlers and children. You can also give flax seed oil which is very high in Omega 3.

Do a web search on "benefits of fish oil in toddlers" and "benefits of flax oil for children" and read through the listed sites.

You can actually give them both. I make a berry smoothie every morning with mixed berries, soy milk, honey, a vitamin powder then I squeeze one capsule each of fish oil, flax oil, and borage oil into the mixture. I give this to my 7 year old son and my husband and they love it! Keep doing what your doing for your child!

Everyone need Omega 3 so I Don't think there should be a problem. But you need to verify the dosage.

The cows milk is the one i have a problem with. That substance is great for baby cows, but not other animals.

Cows milk is bad for you ... You can get it without BHT but milk should be limited ..I gave my kids goats milk and supplemented with some whole food iron products and fed them greens...

Fish oil is probably a good idea in moderation..Good job!

I would talk to the pediatrician before giving a child of any age any kind of supplement.
