I constantly find myself creating THE BEST QUESTION EVER when I'm away from my narcotic (P&S), then forgetting it when I get back on here.
There are some few who WILL notice your absence,
The Mrs. tells me I've been laughing in my sleep lately. Too bad I'm NOT getting points for the answers I'm obviously DREAMING about.

The withdrawal, because look at what the alternative is you are giving. I don't know about coming off of benzodiazapine, but I think if I can come off of a $500 daily cocaine habit, the benzodiazapine should be a breeze. Where it is you or someone else, I wish them the best of luck.. It will be tough as hell, but every day will get a little easier and a little easier and then a little easier; hang in there.

If you have withdrawal the best cure is to drop everything and get to the nearest computer to check A's. Do that q. 4 hours until able to return for your full dosage. And above all have a great day and we look forward to your return.

addiction and dependence are two different things. you are dependent on something if you rely on it to do a certain thing for you physically or emotionally. you are addicted to it if you cannot put it down or stop doing it by yourself.
your brain releases certain chemicals into the body when it is happy, pleased, or fullfilled. the chemicals our own brain produces is what we become dependent on. lets say, when you log onto Y!A and see a Best Answer in your Inbox. your brain floods your body most likely with seratonin (pleasure chemical) therefore everytime you are on Y!A you are anticipating the rush of pleasure chemicals that are imminent.
now if you cannot function in daily life without Y!A, or you get sluggish, headachy, weak, etc. then perhaps you have become dependent and are on the road to being addicted.
