If it isn't in your local area, and you can't afford to lose every penny you send, don't buy a car on Ebay. (that is either or....if it's in your local area, it's okay...if it's NOT in your local area, you should be able to throw that money away, because you may be doing that.)

Also don't buy a Grand am.

Note all the frowny faces. Just don't do it.

And that is WAY too much for that car.

Depending on how well they age, the 95 should be slightly faster. It has a hair more horsepower, though slightly less torque, and it is a bit lighter, and has lower gearing (3.43 vs 3.29). But being older, it is probably more tired, so would give the edge to the 2000. Either way, more of a drivers race than the cars.

A 150-horsepower 2.4-liter twin-cam 16-valve 4-cylinder engine comes standard. An optional 170-horsepower 3.4-liter V6

the 2000 is newer and mechanically simpler (12 valves vs 24) so maintenance might be less of a factor. I'd go for a '64 GTO with a 421 myself...

Its got a 3.4 L V6 with 175 hp and 205 lb-ft of torque.

KBB value is $6,500-7,100. Don't buy something like a car without getting it checked out 1st though.
