Steve Nash & Dirk are currently 2 of the top 10, possibly top 5 players in the league and deservedly so. However, at this point in time, are they Hall of Fame worthy? No right or wrong answer, just interested to hear what other NBA fans think...and best answer will go to the one who does the best job convincing me yes they are, yes they aren't (oh and you can argue that one is and one isn't, I just felt like mentioning both in 1 question)

nash still need 2 or 3 more years of playing like a top 5 guard. Dirk needs 5 more years of playing like a top 2 or 3 power forward in the league. One thing in common though it both these guys are shitty defenders hands down.

First Time HOF: Scottie Pippen Karl Malone Reggie Miller Gary Payton Alonzo Mourning Dikembe Mutombo Shaquille O'Neal Allen Iverson Jason Kidd Steve Nash Ray Allen Kevin Garnett Tim Duncan Kobe Bryant Dirk Nowitzki Chauncey Billups Paul Pierce Has a chance if recover from injury or have few more good seasons: Grant Hill Yao Ming Tracy McGrady Vince Carter Will not make it due to injury: Penny Hardaway Chris Webber Bruce Bowen 0% chance Ben Wallace 25% chance depending on how easy Mutombo makes the HOF. If Wallace makes the HOF, then Eaton, Alvin Robertson, and Cheeks deserves to be in the HOF. All the leftovers were good players but not HOF Chris Mullin Tim Hardaway Dennis Rodman Mitch Richmond Shawn Kemp Kevin Johnson Michael Cooper (former L.A. Laker - has 5 rings from 80, 82, 85, 87 and 88) Maurice Cheeks (former Philadelphia 76ers - 1983 champ) Jo Jo White (former Boston Celtic - has 2 rings from 74 and 76)

KB ASSASSIN is a moron, Steve Nash made the players around him all stars, nobody was talking about Phoenix up until 2005 when they were a #1 seed and blew the lakers out in game 7 after LA blew a 3-1 lead.

I wouldn't doubt them being in the Hall of Fame, no european player has matched the same greatness Dirk has and will have with time, I don't know about Nash, I just wished he was playing with others who deserve to be in the finals, Stoudemire, Marion, and Bell don't deserve $hit but another series knock out from the spurs.

Overrated!!!
Nash has like an allstar team around him.. That is the reason he throws 10 or 11 assists per game..
Shawn Marion, Amare, Diaw, Barbosa, Raja, Banks are terrific players.. How can you not get this much assist with this guys???
Nash does not deserve does 2 MVP's even he has said it.

Well see how Nash does without the presence of Shawn Marion..
Will see....!!!

Lets talk about Nash's defense..
He cannot be compare to Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson..
simply overrated player.

Dirk i don't think so..He is doing a good job though...
Dirk struggles to finish strong.. He really needs to work on that.

Both are awesome talents and great athletes. I am sure that if they continue on the same path they are now on both will end up in the NBA hall of fame in due time. In my mind Steve Nash is the best raw talent all around specimen of an athlete playing pro sports today and it may not be a consensus today but I feel sure history will list him as one of the all time greatest palyers in all of pro sports. He has my vote for sure.

If they both retired today im not sure both would get in but i think they will be in as long as they play a few more years not positive about Dirk though he needs a little more in the resume like ring would do it

nash is a lock...2 mvps? regardless of all the haters who say he's overrated...the hardware speaks for itself.

dirk needs a few more years. he could go down as the greatest international player to ever play in the nba. he still needs a few years though.

yes they can be a future hall of famer, both of them won the mvp title, they been to the allstars for many years now, and they're always on the all nba team, so there's no reason that they shouldnt be a hall of famer, plus their career averages are good enough to put them there.

the only question remaining for the two of them now is " who will have the championship ring first?"

to me neither deserve to be in the hall unless something dramatic happens. nash had his great career too late. who heard of steve nash early on? how come nash didnt play this well when he had dirk and finley in dallas with an offensive minded coach in nelson? dirk is great now, but what about before? even when he had nash he wasnt this good. so to me, a hall of fame player should be a great player very early in his career, not late. now lebron is an example of a hall of fame player.
