need help about brakes?

hey guys i am totally new about the brakes on the car. today when i stepped on it, it made very loud and deep sound but it doesnt make any squeaky sound. it feel likes i am stepping the brake on the ground or something, so what should i do? what do i need to change whenever your brakes go out? i appreciate the help

Brakes are not something you should try and fix yourself if you know nothing about them. Your best bet is to take it to a shop and let a pro fix it. After all , they are the only thing that can save your life as well as your family in all driving situations.

The peddle to the floor does seem to suggest that your brakes are finished, or missing brake fluid, (which I doubt, as that normally generates a fault code)

I believe Brakes are something a seasoned DIY can do. The way the brake calipers are designed it would be nearly impossible to bolt the caliper back on the steering knuckle with the pads not in place well.

low brake fluid will not generate a trouble code, sounds like you may have lost a brake shoe or pad (came loose from the metal backing that hold it in place) it is just time to get the brakes checked out by a pro. i do them every day at work.

Look at a repair book covering your car. Whatever it is it definitely sounds like something. Brakes are something you can replace yourself--but not without first consulting a book.

I WILL TELL YOU THIS,U PROBABLY WILL DISCARD THIS BUT ANYWAY
CERAMIC BRAKES, STOP A CAR AT LEAST 10-15X FASTER, THEY GET HOT,NO PROBLEM THEY WORK EVEN BETTER WEHN HOT.IN FACT THEY BURN, LIGHT UP RED.

YOU NEVER HAVE TO CHANGE THEM AGAIN, I'm not just saying that, i mean it, you NEVER have to change them again, they never wear out,ever!
