I got my name because of all the sitcoms with characters named Kelly in the late 80's and early 90's.......(Cheers, Coach, Married with Children...etc) My mom liked its "Irishness" as well..... If I wasn't "Kelly," I was supposed to be "Christine" or "Holly" because I was born on Christmas.... I like my name. :-)

i was named after the car the Austin Healy...my dad saw one driving down the road when my mom was pregnant and said Austin! that would be a great name for a boy or a girl!

I think my parents partook in a little too much peace and love if you know what I mean. I asked my Mum the other day what my name would have been if I was a boy...Clayton Hamilton. Not bad I suppose but a little preppy for my taste, I'm glad I'm a girl.

My dad chose my name, and he decided to name me after an old lady who lives in Kentucky. And we have no clue why exactly he decided to name me after her, because we're not related to her, and my dad has talked to her 4 times at the most. Well, I can never really explain why my family does the stuff they do.

well, my mom wanted a name that would fit a guy or a girl, so thats how i got my first name {Toni} and my dad wanted to name me after Alexander teh Great, so thats how I got my middle name {Alexandria}. I could've been stuck with worse I guess.. I don't actually mind my name ^^

my real name is William, my dad's name is William and his dad's name is William, according to my grandma I'm the 5th William Whitman in a row and no one goes by the name William, most are usually called Bill and I go by Billy, Bill, or Will which makes it slightly more annoying to introduce myself
my middle name is Travis and it comes from my uncle Travis who died before I was born

I was named after my father's cousin's wife. My father was quite close to his cousin. In my 30s I got to meet her. I don't remember her when I was an infant but she may have met me then. My name is Sally and I like my name, too. It means "princess."
