heck that is funny as when I use it as alot firefox redlines it so I switch it to a lot which just does not seem right to me. so I ponder that ? alot as I use the word a lot

Allotment, allot, a lot, according to this, what I assume is a U.S. check spelling program, 'alot' is non-existent. There are alot of non-existent words not in it.
