whats that thing called, it's like a combination of remote start and push to start. You have the regular push to start button but it only starts if you have the remote inside the car because that is more safe. If anyone knows what this is called or how much it cost it would be appreciated.

A remote starter is just that, a remote starter.

Now if you have power door locks you can get a remote starter with keyless entry which is called a deluxe remote starter.

If you have factory keyless you can get an add on remote start unit that works in conjunction with your oem key fob.

You last option would be an alarm with the remote start feature.

You can get a decent unit at AutoZone or similar type of auto part store. Roughly $79.00 - $99.00 depending on the unit.

On certain applications you'll need an anti theft by pass in order for your remote starter to work.

Installation is another story, Depending on your mechanical abilities, You may want to just go to a place that installs them.
