i have seen several japanese videos where the singer has a semi afro.

Well In order to get this style you will have to curl you hair with rollers called perm rods. You can get these at any beauty supply store. Perm rods create a tight curl that will help you get the Afro look. Just shampoo & condition you hair, then while you hair is still wet put the perm rods in. If you have a hood dryer still under it till you hair is dry then take the perm rods out. If you don't have a hood dryer keep the rods in till you hair is completely dry. Next take an afro pick or comb and pick your hair out till it is big like an afro & there you have it. You may want to get some1 to help you put the perm rods in.

If you buy a pick comb and use that to brush through your hair, it will stick up.
