It's good for them. Tropical plants come from a humid environment. Just don't put it too close to the plants, and don't overdo it or you'll have soggy walls and furniture.

Humidifiers are great on plants. They produce moisture that carries to the plant. It's like you almost dont have to water your plants but still do!

I keep citrus trees in a bedroom during the winter and have 2 of them running. I keep a meter handy so I don't overdo it though. Too easy to mess up the wall material with too much humidity.
