Leave them, their natural prey, and their habitat alone. However, people living near tigers, as well as "sport hunters", are disinclined to do this. Bear in mind, too, that tigers have the reputation of turning manhunter when they become too old or run out of natural prey. While this cannot possibly be true of all tigers, we tend to record these incidents and not record tiger deaths from old age or starvation.

Actually, we now have proof that one species of tiger, once thought extinct, is still around! :)
