There isn't a weekly ticket for £33.25, the nearest is a 7 day zone 1-4 Travelcard at £33.20.
Have you still got the receipt he should have given you ?

Are you sure you didn't misunderstand what the £1 was for? If you use prepay, or you have a travelcard which covers a certain number of zones but you needed an extension as you travelled outside of those zones, you can go "overdrawn" on your Oyster card up to a certain amount. Your card will still work as you exit the station, but next time you top up you will need to cover the overdrawn amount.

Get it? Like if your bank account balance was £19 and you tried to get £20 out at the cash point, you could probably still get the £20 but next time money was put in your account it would first of all cover the £1 that was overdrawn.

If I'm wrong and this isn't the case, then you've been had, because there is definitely no extra charge for using prepay.

I don't think so. I think he's pulling a fast one. If you want to top up by £10, you should only be charged £10, not £11. There is no additional fee for pre pay top up. You do, however, have to pay a £3 deposit when you first get an Oyster if you are just topping up.
