For me, absolutely. We were both unfaithful to each other, we physically fought with each other, and he was a financial drain on our family - he could not keep a job. When we first separated, we had a restraining order to enforce our separation for 6 months. By the time we actually divorced, we were no longer as angry, and since then, we have actually become good friends, which would have seemed impossible even ten years ago. There are things that we did to each other during the marriage that we both regret, but the divorce was good for both of us, and made us both free to grow up and find partners who we are compatible with. We are even able to vacation together now with our children, and he is as close to me as a brother. But if you are doubting whether you should get divorced, then maybe you can save your marriage - there was no doubt for us.

one thing, I really regreted, was, not to have initiated divorce much more earlier. There was no need and was unresponsible to have a sick relationship for 10 years. The decision was absolutely correct. Everybody feels now much more better, our child including.

Yes, My ex husband was doing drugs. He pulled a gun on me. One day he would have killed me. No, I had to leave, I do not regret it. B/C he has stopped using drugs, but picked up drinking.
