My dashboard and sidedoor lights don't shut off when I turn my car off.Now my car won't turn over to start.Y?

I have a 1988 Chrysler New Yorker.

You have a flat battery now. And the cause is some bad switches which did not switch off everything and kept draining your battery.

Not sure why the lights wont shut off, but it prob wont start cuz them being on all the time likely drained ur battery.

sounds like the switch to control the lights is shorting out (stuck on) and that just drained your battery.
