Pro Wrestling is scripted, like a movie{I know, some of you will say it's still fake},the Storylines are scripted, the Rivalries are Scripted and Fake, but The moves they do are real. The pain they feel when performing a move or getting hit by a move is real, the Blood is SOMETIMES real.Either they blade themselves{Real Blood},either the ref gives them something to wipe fake blood on them,or any other way to get blood on you.And come one man,not everybody watches the WWE.And don't just say the WWE,I hate it when a question like this comes up and they just reference the WWE.Companies like TNA,ROH,NJPW,PWG,AAA,all those companies and those little promotional companies have the same problem,Scripted Storylines but Real Bumps that can really end someones career. But promotions like UFC,that is real. That is more exciting to watch than the WWE or any other Pro Wrestling Company and I,who been a wrestling fan for 16 years will have to say that,Ultimate Fighting Championship is more Real, more exciting, and is more Brutal than any other Pro Wrestling Company.I watch it more times than the WWE sometimes.UFC for Excitement and Pain,WWE for Entertainment. And not mention since the Fan Base of the WWE has changed,I rather watch UFC. -Jericholic 4 Life

A lot of die hard fans will swear up and down that pro wrestling is real but I was always skeptical. Some years back just after WWF became WWE a friends of mine met one of his favorite ECW stars at a gas station, and approached him for an autograph and asked a few questions. We were both of age an he was very interested in being a pro wrestler (we were both very into physical fitness at the time and both participated in martial arts religiously) I have never been into wrestling like this so I don't remember the wrestlers name but he referred my friend to a local school that he had trained in. To much of my friends dismay he learned that very much of wrestling IS acting and although it is dangerous the school focused on how to properly take falls and how to make punchs and kicks look full contact. This was enough to convince me, if it isn't for you try researching it a bit more I am sure you won't have trouble finding all the answers you need.

Well I would say it's more of planned rather than fake. Well I mean, they like do the match & stuff before the fans see it, so they know what they are going to do, where to land, where exactly to hit if they are going to use a weapon. But I believe getting hit by a chair, landing on that ring, is real. Well it's how can you fake getting it by a chair, unless you react when the chair is a mile away, but, yeah.

Okay, watch Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) on spike TV, then watch WWE and compare.
WWE is TOTALLY faked. It's still fun to watch though so just think of how silly it is and have that add to the fun.

The moves are real and if you do them on someone they'll hurt, but the WWE is fake b/c the winner is predetermined. That is why the WWE doesn't call itself a sport but rather sports entertainment b/c it not real.

Most of the winners are picked in advanced and all the talking is scipted for example last week on RAW tripple H pulled out his script as a joke.

Well if it weren't someone would be dieing all the time :-) seriously , it is acting...my step son used to do it( he was part of a tag team) and he told us all about the rehearsals of the moves and the self cutting to show blood, yuck!
It isn't easy and they do get hurt a lot but it is not real...

Yes, it's fake. It's basically the equivalent of a daytime drama. They go by script.

Most of it is. There is some real stuff to it. But it's like a soap opera. It's all wrote out who is to win and lose. All A bunch of acting.
