I was just watching the Larry King show and they had a panel of men discussing seeing UFO'S, in fact on Monday November 12th, they will be in washington to discuss it with government officals. My question is, Do you believe there are UFO's out there.?
This panel was made up of mostly military men who seemed very believable in what they saw.

I found it interesting that in a lot of cases where these sightings were reported, The CIA'S response was, "This Never Happened", of course that is there response to a lot of things.

From a strict-constructionist perspective, I have to. The term is "Unidentified Flying Object". If I ever see anything that I cannot identify, than to me it is a UFO. Eventually someone who knows more than I do, might convincingly "identify" the object, thereby making it no longer a UFO.

I gather there are quite a few photos of "aircraft" (and even more stories of sightings) that have remained "unidentified". I have been looking at the sky for about 35 years myself, and have seen quite a few objects that at first were UFOs, but eventually became more-or-less identified. I do not recall ever having seen an object whose behavior seemed radically different from conventional man-made or naturally-occuring objects.

For example, just last Monday, at about 5:30AM, I happened to be lying awake in bed. There is a window in the bedroom that looks out over a heavily wooded ridge about 4 miles away. It was a clear night, where stars were clearly visible down to the tree line. I happened to be watching the instant that two bright dots appeared above the ridge. They were as bright as two very prominent stars, except they did something that stars do not: they kept moving. I got up, went outside, stood on the deck outside the kitchen, and called to my brother-in-law, who was already up, making some coffee. We both watched the lights, as they made a very steady path directly overhead, from one horizon to the other. We came to the conclusion, based on the gradual change in brightness with respect to the known position of the sun (over the horizon) that we were seeing the ISS (Space Station) and Space Shuttle. I looked on some websites and came to the conclusion that the lights were, indeed, those objects.

My point is that, within the conventional confines, I have seen some pretty impressive stuff. I absolutely look forward to seeing something "suggesting the presence of extrerrestrial intelligent beings" but so far I have not. I'll keep looking.

Unidentified things in the air exist. Are they normal things, or other things?

Some are normal things. Others are NOT normal things.
While some (even most) UFOs can have a very natural explanation, there are eye-witness accounts and videos of things that CANNOT have a natural explanation. Why? Because they defy the laws of physics. UFOs don't produce exhaust or make noise, even though they travel at incredible speeds. They make 90 turns at speeds that should obliterate them. They materialize in and out of radar. They are supernatural.

Could it be that they are simply using alien technology that baffles us? Yes, but if they are alien ships or probes, why haven't any crashed or landed and been discovered? (Even if Area 51 is real, with the amount of sightings, you would think that this would have happened more than once.)

I think a better explanation is that they are supernatural beings. That is, after all, how they behave. Demons and angels are supernatural beings, but they have so many different connotations that at their mention most people will stop thinking and laugh at you. Instead of laughing, give me a better explanation.

I am a full blown skeptic when it comes to UFOs as there are no proof. But the very existence of cover ups and secrecy makes me a skeptic about being a skeptic. I watched that show too. When the AF guy came on to debunk the incident in England he really screwed up.
"Where would the lights have been seen the best? From the observation tower. I interviewed the persons on duty that night and they didn´t see anything."
When the witnesses responded "The tower was unmanned that night" he looked like Will Ferrell doing his Harry Carey impression...

Like Jay said: UFO = unidentified flying object. That can range from space junk from satellites to weather balloons. Those I do believe in.

Now, whether there's intelligence behind these things is where I'm a skeptic. Our location in the galaxy can be considered a backwater - we're in the middle of nowhere. If they were to come all that way, I think they would want to make their presence known; to me it makes no sense to make that long, long trip and keep it a secret. However, I do think that there are other intelligent civilizations in the universe, it's just that the distances between the stars is unimaginably huge it may be impossible for most of those civilizations (including ours) to overcome.

your still in skeptical mode. The ufology community is passed the question regarding wethere or not they exist, they are on the question. "When will they reveal themselves."/ Theres no doubt that U.S and many other countries have been covering up UFO crashes, maybe covering them TOO good. Is only up to the extraterrestials to prove the world wrong. My belief is."There are many of alien species out there, We as humans have been colonized by them(one species or maybe more). I think that they came here when we were just a single cell, and messed with our dna, thereby speeding up the evolutionary process. Stanton Friedman has heavily devoted himself into uncovering the truth, and Buzz(the astronaut) is just simply 1 astronaut that saw something IN THE ORDINARY. It doesn't mean that just b/c 1 astronaut is a non-believer, doesn't mean all of them are. As for that skeptic that was on that show, He represents the millions of people out there that want concrete evidence. Well let me tell you something, if you want the evidence is not going to come to you that easily. What more do they want, There are people who worked for the GOv(few that worked at roswell in 1947) that give death bed confessions. If thats not enough i don't know what is. If you want more info, look up Dr. Kaku.(famous phycisist. you might have seen him before). oh and check this page out. Get on the bus man,. is time to start accepting and stop denying. http://ufo.whipnet.org/new/index.html

I believe in them, we aren't the only living species. For all we know there could be advance technology on other life form planets. Some think there could be aliens but for all we know they could be humans like us but more advance like. So I do believe in Ufos I saw one when i was young at least i'm pretty sure.

my take on it.... we keep sending probes to other planets and moons and get our first look at the surface of them, we keep firing lasers and radio waves into space to look further out and so on. We're pretty convinced that there is life out there, possibly intelligent life. What if one of these probes flies over or crashes into a planet with intelligent life. We would be the aliens and UFO right? why would it not be possible that someone beat us to the punch.

folks love to believe in hoaxes because of it's incredibilities and because deep down we like being entertained by the big "what ifs!."
there is no solid evidence for ufos. the explanations for sightings are simple and natural.

Given the size of the universe, I believe it is likely that there are probably a few other civilisations out there, so it is plausible that other spacefaring civilsations exist. However, teh rare Earth hypothesis suggests that they are probably so far away we are unlikely to meet them for millions of years, if ever.
