Depends on how do you define successful.

If you mean successful in winning everything, that will be Bret Hart. He won every major titles in WWE, including the world, intercontinental, tag team, King of the Ring, and Royal Rumble. HBK may have won the Grandslam, but he didn't win King of the Ring. Bret Hart was even WCW champion, a feat not many WWE champions have achieved.

Or do you mean great popularity and earning big bucks? That will be The Rock and Hulk Hogan. They wrote books, acted in movies, appeared in television, appeared in comics, cartoons and fans still go crazy whenever they are seen.

Or do you define success in terms of winning world titles? Ric Flair won 16 world titles over the course of his wrestling careers. HHH has the most(11) in WWE. Bruno Summartino was world champion for the longest(almost 8 years).

Or do you definte success in sheer dominance? How about Andre the Giant who was undefeated for more than 7 years at a point in his career? Or Undertaker's 16-0 record in Wrestlemania?

The most succesfull wrestler in history..(i hate to say it but i believe he is)...is Hulk Hogan cause he reached a world famous level and made the wrestling business famous without even wrestling ability. He climb the mountain and keep being in the spotlight when he is making appearences with 3 moves and his great charisma...

as for succussfull wrestler(whith the meaning of the word) i as about to tell Breat Hart cause he started from really low levels and his freinnds told him that he will never make it to the top and he did it with hard work and bsed on his great wrestling ability...BUT...i will choose Ric Flair cause he has lasted so many decades.he was the innovator in some things(unique style). The biggest charisma ever and pure wrestling ability.Pure awesomeness and 16 World Championships in his shoulders..it is no doubt...one of the msot charismatic and gifted wrestlers ever...

Diamonds are forever...so is Ric Flair...

I think The Undertaker. 15-0-0 in Wrestlemania and a loyal fan base. Plus enough money to live pretty well during the rest of his life, a successful personal life and all this with out using roids.

the most success ful wrestler was the women champion Fabulous Moolah. she was the oldest and most dominant women champiion in wrestling history. even though she died few days ago, i think she is the best of the best after all she had the womens title for 26 years the most a champion ever had. not only that she was the first women to get inducted to the hall of fame.
